Map Of Ancient Rome and were it was found
Ancient Rome can be found in the area of Europe we now call Italy. Italy is a peninsula that sticks out into the Mediterranean Sea from the north. It looks just like a boot. The city of Rome is near the center of the peninsula on the Tiber River. This is where the great Roman empire began. Later, the Roman Empire would include all of the land around the Mediterranean Sea. The Romans conquered about half of Europe, the whole north coast of Africa and many of the lands in the Middle East.

THE WEATHER IN ANCEINT ROME
